According to the Toronto Star dated August 21, 1901, Orangeville's population in 1891 was 2,962. In 1901 it was 2,511. The Toronto Star published an article dated October 4, 1902 on a "Special Census" done in Orangeville which put the Orangeville population at 4,056.

The Orangeville Citizen dated July 28, 2005 reports three cemeteries being vandalized. "Thirty-one headstones in Primrose Presbyterian Cemetery, four in Whitfield's Christ Church yard, and two in Methodist churchyard near the former Whitfield Orange Lodge were pushed over by vandals sometime late last week." Costly repairs are necessary and your help is needed! Primrose Presbyterian Cemetery has not been abandoned to the township and needs your financial support.
